Planting & Optimal Conditions
- Sunlight: Requires full sun (at least 6 to 8 hours daily) for optimal growth and maximum fruit production.
- Soil: Thrives in rich, well-draining, slightly acidic soil. It does not tolerate “wet feet” (waterlogged roots) well, so avoid heavy clay areas that pool water.
- Spacing: Space trees at least 6 to 8 metres away from other large trees or structures to allow the wide canopy to develop safely.
