Growing Conditions & Care:
- Flowers: Produces large (10–15 cm), fragrant, white saucer-shaped flowers from spring through summer, often continuing sporadically into autumn.
- Size: Generally grows to a height of 4–6 metres and a width of 2–3 metres at maturity, though it can reach 7–10 metres over a long period. It is well-suited for high-density planting to form a hedge.
- Habit: Features an upright, conical, and dense habit, making it perfect for privacy screens or as a focal feature tree.
- Growth Rate: Considered moderate, adding 30–60 cm of height per year in the early stages, often flowering when only a few years old.
Uses In The Garden:
- Screening/Hedging: Often planted 1–1.5 metres apart for a dense, evergreen privacy screen.
- Specimen Tree: Used as a focal point in small gardens, courtyards, or alongside driveways.
- Espalier: Responds well to being trained flat against walls or fences.
